Community Listening Sessions: District Budget
Our district is facing a budget deficit, and it will take multiple years to restore our financial stability. We need to reduce spending by $16 million for the 2025-26 school year. Over the next couple of months, we invite you to share your ideas and perspectives to help us reduce spending and increase revenue. To begin, we will host three community listening sessions in January:
Tuesday, January 21, 2025
4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
In person at Odle Middle School
502 143rd Ave NE, Bellevue, 98007
Tuesday, January 21, 2025

Superintendent Dr. Aramaki and his leadership team will use your ideas and input to create a spending reduction proposal which will be shared in February. We will also provide an opportunity for you to comment on the proposal in February before it goes to the school board for approval in March. Here’s a high-level timeline of what to expect:
January – Community Listening Sessions to Gather Input and Ideas
February – Draft Spending Reduction Proposal
February – March – Community Engagement to Solicit Feedback on the Draft Proposal
March – Seek School Board Approval on Spending Reduction Proposal
